We fixed the network issue and did some more testing to verify the fix. It worked.

Once we got the network test finished we did a little shopping for another solar filter to use with a camera. From there we headed up north a bit to Mount Shasta. We found a good place to take a panoramic picture, but we were not alone!
|
We then wandered into town (and sold a few more solar glasses) and learned of a road that went up Mount Shasta. So off we went. We had to stop at the 7000 foot level (Bunny Flats - about half-way up the mountain) as the road is closed due to heavy snow. The left image is the view looking west. The right image is Tim and I playing in the snow (in shorts and short sleeved shirts - Toto, I don't think we're in North Dakota anymore!).

Once we got back into Redding we did a little shopping (food and water) for the big day. On the way back to the hotel we took a wrong turn, but it did allow us to stop by the Sundial Bridge and park. It really is a sundial and is laid out to accurately tell the time for June 21.

Our last chore for the day was to relax in the hot tub. Like all dealers do after a hard day of selling solar glasses :)
